About Kimberly
Kimberly was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland, in the town of Accokeek, which is located across the Potomac River from Mount Vernon. Kimberly was raised with a strong work ethic by two civic minded parents who both volunteered in their communities with the Lions and Lioness Club and the American Legion. Following her parents’ lead, Kimberly has found many rewarding volunteer opportunities where she has worked with other community leaders to combat issues facing women and children, troubled youth, collegiate women, and sexual assault victims.
Kimberly graduated from Oxon Hill High School in Oxon Hill, MD, Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, and Widener University Commonwealth School of Law in Harrisburg, PA. She has worked in the court system for over 30 years in numerous positions as an investigator, probation officer, judicial law clerk, and prosecutor. In 2011, she adopted two children from the foster care system, who are now teenagers. The family enjoys the beach, amusement parks, and traveling around Florida to see the wonderful things the State has to offer.
